1. Container condensation (container sweat): Hot-cold temperature cycles inside sea containers create moisture. Grey-board rigid boxes absorb damp and turn soft, paper bags get mold spots.
2. Stack compression: Heavy container loading squeezes outer cartons. Poor-stiffness rigid boxes collapse; paper bags crease permanently.
3. Surface scratch & foil peeling: Friction inside export cartons ruins hot stamping and lamination surfaces.
Proactive design & production solutions
· Rigid box side: Select proper grey-board thickness, do not over-reduce stiffness for cost saving. Extra-thin grey-board survives sampling but collapses under container stacking.
· Material anti-humidity consideration: For high-humidity destination markets, avoid highly absorbent special paper. Communicate moisture-proof requirement to your supplier.
· Export carton optimization: Specify export outer carton grade, partition board and inner dividers. Separate rigid boxes and paper bags inside master cartons to prevent friction scratch.
· Packing logic: Do not overstuff or under-fill export cartons. Vacuum or shrink-wrap for paper bags reduces moisture exposure.
· Realistic test: Simulate stacking pressure and damp condition during presample evaluation.
